TDE Frequently asked questions

As always, we are hard at work behind the scenes enhancing your online experience and providing you a better way to bank! We’re excited to bring you Transaction Data Enhancement to make managing your finances easier and more intuitive! With this new functionality, your online banking experience will become more detailed, organized, and user-friendly.

So what exactly is Transaction Data Enhancement?

Transaction Enhancement Data is a new feature in online banking that will automatically categorize spending by specific merchants and allow you to select the type of transactions, i.e. utilities, dining, mortgage, etc.. allowing you to better manage where your money is going.

Will my transaction history look different?

Yes, but better! Instead of seeing an address for a transaction, it will now be labeled with the merchant or payee. Below the description, you will see a category selected. You can edit this as needed to manage your money how you want.

What if I don’t recognize a transaction or it’s the wrong description?

It’s possible a transaction may be mislabeled. If you don’t recognize a transaction, simply click or tap on the transaction from the Financial Wellness widget and then the question mark icon next to the description to change it back to the original.

How do I change a category?

If you’d like to change the category of your transaction, click or tap on the category label under the transaction. You can then choose a new category and also choose to have it apply to all future transactions with that same description. You can also click or tap Bulk Edit to change the categories of different past transactions at the same time using the checkboxes that appear.

Can I create a custom category?

Sure you can. Click the Category listed below the transaction you would like to update. Within the desired category group, select the add (plus sign) icon and type in the category name you wish to create. To save the category, hit the Enter key on the keyboard or simply tap or click outside of the text box. If you change your mind and no longer wish to create a custom category, select the X to the right of the entered text. *Custom categories cannot be removed once created.

UGH! Why can’t I see the budget I already setup?

Unfortunately, with this enhancement any previous budgets are no longer accessible. We do apologize for any inconvenience.
