CPM Federal Credit Union is honored to welcome their first Associate Board Member, Ramón Nieves-Lugo▼November 5, 2019
N. Charleston, SC (November 5, 2019) CPM Federal Credit Union elected Ramón Nieves-Lugo as the first Associate Board Member to serve the credit union.
Nieves-Lugo is the Principal and CEO of UniComm Media Group (UMG). He provides the branding, strategic and marketing expertise to harness the power of a multicultural approach for his clients. Nieves-Lugo was born and raised in Puerto Rico and understands the importance of knowing the different cultures represented in our region and how to effectively build strong and meaningful relationships to elevate brands. He enjoys giving back and strengthening his community which mirrors credit union philosophies. Currently, Nieves-Lugo is on the Chair of LatinosUnited, serves on the Advisory Council for USC Upstate Johnson College of Business and Economics and on the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors and a board member for Fall for Greenville, the largest food and music festival in the Upstate. A Bob Jones University graduate, he and his wife welcomed their first child in September 2018.
CPM Federal Credit Union Opens New Location in Downtown Greenville, SC▼November 5, 2019
Greenville, SC (November 5, 2019) CPM opened its newest branch on Monday, October 21, 2019 and enjoyed a fun grand opening on Friday, October 25th. It is a modern one-story, full-service facility in downtown Greenville on the corner of Church and Augusta Streets. The branch has dedicated parking, drive-up lanes, drive-up ATM, offices, a teller counter, a vault and safe deposit boxes. Mike Chodnicki, Board Chairman, commented, “Our new Augusta Street branch is a wonderful addition to downtown Greenville and the surrounding neighborhoods. CPM Federal Credit Union to open new branch in Bluffton▼March 23, 2018

It will be a one-story, modern, full-service facility in Buckwalter Commons Industry Park with dedicated parking, drive-up lanes, drive-up ATM, offices, a teller counter, a vault and safe deposit boxes. Shannon Pahula Promoted to Chief Operating Officer of CPM Federal Credit Union▼August 17, 2017
N. CHARLESTON, SC (August 17, 2017) –CPM Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Shannon Pahula to Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Pahula has been with CPM since 1998. She began as a Teller and has served in many positions including Loan Manager, VP of Lending, VP of Operations and most recently Director of Retail Operations and Marketing. CEO James Gergen said, “She is an inspiring leader who combines a passion for our membership and the member experience with a wealth of knowledge of credit union operations.” Shannon graduated from Penn State University. In 2016 she completed a Cornell University Marketing Strategy program.
Dr. Richard Gough joins Supervisory Committee of CPM Federal Credit Union▼November 15, 2016
N. CHARLESTON, SC (November 15, 2016) –CPM Federal Credit Union appointed Dr. Richard Gough as the newest member of CPM’s Supervisory Committee.
Dr. Gough is the president of the Technical College of the Lowcountry (TCL) and also serves as a director for the Bluffton Public Development Corporation board and the Beaufort County Economic Development Commission. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 25 years and retired as a Colonel. Dr. Gough has been an active member of CPM for many years. Board Chair Mike Chodnicki said, “We are honored to have him supporting us and pleased to strengthen our ties to the Beaufort/Port Royal area.”
CPM welcomes the addition of Dr. Richard Gough and looks forward to his service on the Supervisory Committee.
Alicia Webb joins Board of Directors of CPM Federal Credit Union▼July 20, 2016
N. CHARLESTON, SC (July 20, 2016) –Alicia Webb was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of CPM Federal Credit Union at the credit union’s annual meeting.
Alicia Webb is a retired Lab Supervisor and Research Analyst for Westvaco, MeadWestvaco and Kapstone. She served on CPM’s Supervisory Committee for the past 12 years, serving many of those years as Chairperson. Mrs. Webb brings a vast knowledge of the credit union movement and CPM to her new role serving on the Board of Directors.
CPM Opens New Branch Locations▼April 6, 2016
N. CHARLESTON, SC (April 6, 2016) –CPM Federal Credit Union, a nonprofit, full-service financial institution, will celebrate the opening of new locations in North Charleston at Park Circle on Friday, April 8, and Summerville at Nexton on Monday, April 11. Both grand opening events will begin at 11 AM.
“Opening these new locations reflects an ongoing commitment to reach our members where they are and be there when they need us,” said James Gergen, CPM’s chief executive officer. “We serve over 55,000 members throughout South Carolina and our expanded branch network provides more in-person opportunities to build on the unique relationship we have with members -- to shake their hands, ask about their families, and take the time to understand their needs -- which is what differentiates CPM from larger financial institutions.”
The grand openings for each site include family-friendly activities from 3-5 PM that are free and open to the public, and include food trucks, face painting and ice cream. The new branches will offer special pricing on auto loans, personal loans, and deposit accounts. Visitors will spin to win free giveaways such as tumblers, beverage mugs and other prizes through the end of April, Gergen said.
In addition to the two new locations in Summerville and North Charleston, CPM has nine other South Carolina service sites in Beaufort, Greenville, Greer, Orangeburg, Port Royal, Spartanburg and Simpsonville.
CPM offers comprehensive consumer banking products and services including checking and savings accounts, retirement accounts, auto loans, mortgages and home equity loans, and credit cards. CPM also makes available financial planning and investments, affordable insurance coverage for auto, home life, disability, critical illness, accidental death and dismemberment and other member needs.

Andrew Bowden, Jr. joins Supervisory Committee of CPM Federal Credit Union▼November 28, 2015
N. CHARLESTON, SC (November 28, 2015) –CPM Federal Credit Union announces the appointment of Andrew Bowden, Jr. to the Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee.
Mr. Bowden is a Director of Information Technology for SCANA, an energy holding company with over $16 billion in assets and whose businesses include SCE&G and utility companies in Georgia and North Carolina. Mr. Bowden brings expertise in cyber security, information technology, manufacturing, and marketing to the Credit Union. CPM Board Chairman Mike Chodnicki said, “We are thrilled to have Andy join our Supervisory Committee. Adding someone with Andy’s expertise in cyber security underscores the importance the Board places on protecting our systems, our data, and our members.” Mr. Bowden has responsibility for cyber security and IT compliance at SCANA.

Laurie H. Anderson, SPHR, Joins Board of Directors at CPM Federal Credit Union▼July 6, 2015
N. CHARLESTON, SC (July 6, 2015) –CPM Federal Credit Union appointed Laurie Anderson as one of their newest members of the Board of Directors.
Ms. Anderson is the Human Resources Manager for Eberspaecher Exhaust Technology of the Americas in Spartanburg, SC. The Eberspaecher Group is one of the world´s leading system developers and suppliers of exhaust technology, vehicle heaters and bus air conditioning systems. She is a graduate of Clemson University and has extensive training in Human Resources. She serves on the Advisory Committee of a local high school applied technology center, and is active in several ministries at her church. She has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 1997.
Herbert N. Glaze Joins Board of Directors at CPM Federal Credit Union▼June 26, 2015
N. CHARLESTON, SC (June 26, 2015) –CPM Federal Credit Union appointed Herbert N. Glaze as one of their newest members of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Glaze is a former Beaufort County Councilman and is currently the Dean of Students and Track and Field Coach at Beaufort High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree at Benedict College and earned a Masters of Education at Pepperdine University. He was awarded the South Carolina Track and Field 4-A Coach of the Year in 2002, the High School Coaches Association’s highest honor. He is a member of many civic and educational organizations including the Beaufort County Education Association, Marine Science Association, National Science Teachers Association and the South Carolina Track and Field Association. Mr. Glaze’s representation of the Beaufort area will be a real asset to CPM and its members.
CPM to Build Nexton®Branch▼ February 11, 2015
SUMMERVILLE, SC (February 11, 2015) –CPM Federal Credit Union has announced the purchase of land in Nexton® in Summerville, South Carolina to develop a full-service branch. Mike Chodnicki, Vice Chairman of CPM and Summerville resident, commented “We are very pleased to take this step which will lead to better serving our members with a 3,400 square foot full-service branch in this new and exciting community. Nexton is the heart of the Region’s most vibrant growth area and a community focused on the future. When the new branch opens in 2016 we will relocate the operations of our small Summerville branch into the new branch. Our new branch will be a modern, one-story, full-service facility on the corner of Brighton Park Boulevard and Rose Drive with dedicated parking, 2 drive-up teller lanes, drive-up ATM, night drop, and safe deposit boxes.”

St. Matthews Branch Closure▼ January 2015
N. CHARLESTON, SC,CPM Federal Credit Union is committed to making the best financial decisions on behalf of our membership. After an extensive analysis of the branch currently located at 606 F.R. Huff Dr. St. Matthews, we have discovered that it is not fiscally responsible to function as a full-service branch. We have decided to close this branch as of March 2, 2015.
CPM Federal Credit Union still has a full-service branch located just 13 miles away in Orangeburg. Our Orangeburg branch is located at 1174 Boulevard Street. We are still here to serve you! Members will continue to have access to their account through our recently expanded network of ATMs. We have 1,100 surcharge free ATMs in South Carolina alone, including Bi-Lo Shopping Center ATMs. We also offer assistance through Shared Branch locations, Contact Center, online and mobile banking, and our 24-hour telephone banking system.

Beaufort Area Celebrates Rebranding ▼ September 2014
N. CHARLESTON, SC, CPM Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution, today announced that its MCAS Beaufort division will officially become CPM Federal Credit Union. The name change comes after 4 years of operating as MCAS Beaufort, A Division of CPM Federal Credit Union.
"We will continue to offer all of the same great products and personal service, we are simply shortening our name to CPM Federal Union,” said James Gergen, Chief Executive Officer of CPM Federal Credit Union. “Our members won’t notice a difference in their day to transactions. We look forward to continuing to serve the Beaufort area.”

Major Bruce Melville [Ret] of Beaufort, SC recently completed an extensive Marine Corps career having been stationed in the U. S. and overseas. His expertise as a Comptroller, Budget Officer and Strategic Planner will be a tremendous asset to CPM and its members. He provided strong leadership throughout his career in management and operational planning. Major Melville’s addition to the Board accomplishes its endeavor to have representation from all CPM locations across the state.

N. CHARLESTON, SC, CPM Federal Credit Union appointed John Brisini as its newest member of the Supervisory Committee.
Mr. Brisini brings to the Supervisory Committee a wealth of experience in business development and marketing. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and currently works with AI Group, a Charleston based consulting firm. He has previously volunteered with a variety of not for profit organizations, such as the MUSC Children’s Hospital and the YMCA of Greater Charleston. “I’m excited,” said Brisini, “CPM is an outstanding organization. I look forward to working with what is already an extraordinary team.”
